Welcome to NAMI Omaha!

NAMI Omaha is a non-profit organization composed of consumers, family members, professionals, and friends who have come together to share and take comfort in the commonality of their experiences and to educate members of their communities about serious brain disorders. About NAMI Omaha

NAMI Omaha is currently 75+ members strong. We are a local affiliate of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and we provide education, support and advocacy to consumers, family members, friends and professionals in Cass, Dodge, Douglas, Sarpy and Washington counties in Nebraska.

NAMI Omaha holds monthly affiliate meetings on the first Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 7020 Cass Street in Omaha. These meetings are open to everyone and typically begin with a free lite meal and an update on events and happenings in the Omaha Affiliate, followed by a guest speaker who is a subject matter expert in their area of support for mental illness. The evening wraps up with social time to build relationships, make connections, offer support to one another.

NAMI Omaha's Board of Directors meet monthly on the 4th Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 7020 Cass Street in Omaha, to discuss and direct the growth of NAMI Omaha. There are twelve current Board Positions with elections available or vacated seats held annually in October. Board positions are volunteer and come with a two year commitment.
