NAMI on Campus UNO and Student Social Work Organization - UNO Chapter presents:Our purpose for the Suicide Awareness and Prevention event, to be held on the 13th of September, is to provide students with a safe, supportive, and educational atmosphere in which they may have support and resources available from the community to assist them in processing the overwhelming presence of suicide and suicidal messages in today’s culture. We are here to stand by students as they make their journey through not only college, but life as well, by supporting and nurturing positive self-image and emotional well-being through self-help and social interaction. We have also secured the support of the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) here on campus, to answer any concerns or questions students may have throughout the duration of this event.
